About Us
Our Story:
Founded in March 2021 by Tamika Woodson, United Beginnings was born from a simple but powerful belief — that everyone deserves a safe place to heal, rebuild, and thrive. Since opening our doors, we have proudly served the North Carolina Triad and surrounding areas, helping individuals transition from instability to independence. With over 70% of our residents achieving long-term sobriety and moving into permanent housing, our results speak for themselves.

Our Mission:
To provide safe, supportive, and dignified housing for individuals in recovery and transition, empowering them to create a new chapter in life filled with purpose and stability.

What We Believe:
At United Beginnings, we believe recovery is more than staying sober — it’s about rebuilding self-worth, fostering community, and creating opportunities. We are committed to:
- Dignity – Treating every resident with respect and compassion
- Stability – Providing a safe, clean, and well-maintained home environment
- Support – Offering resources and connections that encourage long-term success
- Inclusion – Serving people from diverse backgrounds, including those facing legal, mental health, and housing challenges

Our Approach:
We take pride in offering beautifully remodeled homes designed to encourage peace and healing. Through community partnerships, we provide all-inclusive living arrangements — covering essentials like meals, internet, laundry, and transportation. Our homes are conveniently located near public transit, giving residents easy access to work, appointments, and community resources.

Why We Do It:
United Beginnings is more than housing — it’s a place of hope. We’ve seen firsthand the power of a stable home in changing lives, and we are honored to walk alongside our residents as they move toward independence and self-sufficiency.
